The Oldest Stone House of Batanes

The House of Dakay. Built in 1887 and survived an earthquake in 1917 while the neighbors’ houses crumbled. The most photographed person of Batanes, Florestida Estrella, lives here. Now in her eighties, I was told that she is already bedridden. I would have loved to take her photograph.
